  • They did an excellent job, were quick and saved us money by using existing conduit instead of having to trench and run a new line over to our pool.

  • A 2-man team came out to install new rocker switches, replace existing bathroom fans, and do some minor repair to our electrical panel. The whole process of getting an estimate, scheduling the work, and coming to our house to complete the job was excellent. It even took them less time to do the work than anticipated. Appreciate it Wire Guys!

  • Cody Taylor came to my house to repair the dusk to dawn lights on my house. He was professional, courteous and punctual. After fixing all of the wiring in my garage, he showed me the replacement lights I need. I would recommend Cody and The Wire Guy to anyone who needs electrical work done.

All questions on our FAQ

Who provides electric service in Gilbert?

Most of Gilbert is in SRP’s electric service area; APS serves a pocket between Guadalupe and Warner roads, from Cooper Road to Lindsay Road. For a panel upgrade, SRP’s service specifications say to contact both SRP and the permitting authority first, and SRP reconnects power once both approve the work; APS energizes a new, relocated or replaced meter only after the inspection authority approves the wiring. An EV charger that needs a larger service or a new panel follows the same steps.

Who issues electrical permits in Gilbert?

Residential electrical permits in Gilbert are issued by the Town of Gilbert’s Development Services department (Plan Review & Inspection). Applications, fees and inspection requests go through the Town’s OneStopShop portal.

Do I need a permit for electrical work in Arizona?

Permits are required for all major electrical work. At The Wire Guy Electric, we can handle the entire permitting process for you. We pull the permit, schedule the inspection, and make sure everything passes.
