Why Outdoor Work Fails Here

Almost every exterior repair we get called for traces back to one of four things.

UV. Standard PVC and non-rated cable go chalky and brittle in Arizona sun. We use UV-rated conduit and fittings on anything exposed, because the sun finds everything else.

Water intrusion. A cover that is weatherproof only when closed does nothing for the cord you leave plugged in year-round. In-use covers and correct fitting orientation are what keep water out of a box.

Bad splices underground. Landscape lighting is where we find the worst of it: wire nuts buried in dirt, no direct-burial connectors, no protection at all. Those work for one season.

Undersized runs. Long runs to a back-yard structure lose voltage. Lights dim, motors run hot, equipment wears out early. That is a wire-sizing decision, made once, at install.
